USS Chung Hoon

USS Chung Hoon crew assist in demolishing an old house in Tutong.

May 22nd, Tutong -Thirteen U.S. Navy personnel shared a close working relationship with the local villagers of Kampung Menengah, working side-by-side to help single mother of nine - Dyg Sahi binti Talip.  Head Village of Kg. Menengah, Hj Roslee bin Hj Ahad, the Penghulu, Hj Yusof bin Mantok  along with officials from the Tutong District Office greeted the crew’s arrival.   Also present were Dyg Hjh Noridah bte Abdul Hamid and Dyg Juzailah bte Hj Abdul Rahman from the Department of the Community Development. Dyg Sahi is a recipient of welfare allowance from the Department of Community Development (JAPEM) and with this assistance she started an agriculture project which has flourished into a successful business.
