As of May 16, 2011, U.S. Embassy Bandar Seri Begawan will be implementing a new appointment system for routine U.S. Citizen Services so that we can better serve U.S. citizens in the consular district. The new appointment system is already used at U.S. Embassies and Consulates around the world to ensure that U.S. citizens receive timely assistance. Please note that the appointment system pertains to all routine American Citizen Services such as passports, Consular Reports of Birth Abroad (CRBA), additional visa pages as well as notarial and other services. We will no longer be providing these routine services via call-in appointments or walk-ins. However, be assured that the new system will in no way diminish the accessibility of the Consular Section for life or death emergency circumstances, which will continue to be taken on a walk-in basis.
