Ambassador William E. Todd, on behalf of the US Embassy commented on the 2008 U.S. election results.
“I join with all Americans in sharing the pride in our most recent election. It is a historic election for our new president and vice president elect, as well as many other elected offices. Americans participated in record numbers in a closely followed election. I know that Brunei, as well as the rest of the world, has watched this election with keen interest. I believe Brunei has seen the best of America. We stand proud of all our candidates and we look forward to a prosperous and peaceful future. We look forward to sharing this future with Brunei and the rest of the world.”
