Sept 10, 2008

On Thursday, September 11, 2008, U.S Ambassador William E. Todd will lead the U.S. Embassy in observing Patriot Day. All American Embassies will fly the U.S. Flag at half-staff. A moment of silence will also be observed at exactly 8.46 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST) to honor the innocent lives lost as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.

In his official proclamation, U.S. President George W. Bush said, ‘On Patriot Day we cherish the memory of thousands of innocent victims lost, extend our thoughts and prayers to their families, and honor the heroic men and women who risked and sacrificed their lives so others might survive.”
