U.S. NAVY’S ‘ORIENT EXPRESS’ BAND TO PERFORM IN BRUNEI.

The ‘Orient Express’, a contemporary band of the United States Navy Seventh Fleet will conduct a concert in Brunei on following dates and times. The eight piece ensemble will perform a series of classic American music. The band’s first performance will be tomorrow afternoon at 4p.m at the Mall in Gadong followed by a second performance at 8p.m.
The band will also travel to Kuala Belait on Sunday August 5th and conduct a dual performance alongside the RBAF band at the Taman Jubilee Park from 4-6p.m.
On Monday July 6th the Orient Express will be performing at the Dewan Di Gadong Hall, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports building where the guest of honor for the event will be the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports.

The Seventh Fleet Band was created in 1943 with the establishment of the US Seventh Fleet. The band is based in Yokosuka, Japan along with the flagship for the Commander of the US Seventh Fleet, the USS Blue Ridge.
