Aug 3-10 - Aweek long of exercise between the U.S. Navy and RBN drew to a close on Friday Aug 10. The annual bilateral exercise between U.S. Navy and RBAF. Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training Exercise also known as 'CARAT' is an annual series of bilateral maritime training exercises between the United States and six Southeast Asia nations designed to build relationships and enhance the operational readiness of the participating forces.  The Orient Express, a contemporary band of the US Navy Seventh Fleet conducted a series of public performance in Brunei from Aug 4-9. The eight piece ensemble  performed a variety of contemporary music ranging from pop/rock/country and classic.  On Aug 6th, the Orient Express performs at Dewan diGadong, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports. The 7^th Fleet Band, wows a crowd of more than 100 Brunei residents, including invited guests. Audience cheered to American classics such as Sweet Home Alabama and Little Wing.
